The IoT and analytics platform hetida platform offers a wide range of standard workflows for efficient data pre-processing. One of these is the low pass filter - a proven method for smoothing out high-frequency fluctuations in time series while preserving the low-frequency trend in the data. In this article, we show how the filter works and how it can be specifically applied to water level data in water management.

Using hetida designer, the interactive Python workflow editor of the hetida platform, we are developing a model for forecasting the electricity consumption of an industrial company. In addition to the practical question, the main focus is on the possible applications and operation of hetida designer.

In May 2025, a pioneering energy project was officially presented in Bremen's Überseeinsel district. The digital centerpiece is the IoT and analytics solution hetida platform, which creates a 72-hour schedule for the four large river heat pumps.

The workflows of the hetida platform enable univariate data plausibility checks to quickly identify incorrect measured values. We show an example from the water industry.
